Reliably tasty lunch
I have been a number of times, and the lake yard always delivers a consistent service and good food at a reasonable price, considering the location. The Thai mussels are a good addition to the menu
Warm welcome
As soon as you walk through the door, you will receive a warm welcome. Lovely atmosphere, great tea and cake. Happen to walk past and decided on a random drink. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely little cafe.
Great food
Went there knowing full well I didn’t really like sea food,but wow what a surprise,the fish was cooked so well it was flawless,I had skate which I had never tried before,it was so tasty and perfectly cooked,what a fantastic lunchtime treat,for somebody like myself who is not a fish guy,it has certainly changed the way I look at fish on a menu,looking forward to another treat in the summer!!.
Lovely pub
Little gem of a pub. Proper atmosphere, good drinks, good food and friendly chatty staff. In the world of poncy ‘gastro’ pubs and trendy wine bars this is a refreshing old school pub. Well done.
A hidden gem
Tucked down a narrow corridor, almost hidden from sight is the lovely Courtyard Tearooms. I'm a regular for breakfast and, together with their lunches and afternoon teas, all the food is of a high standard. Home made and scrummy! Great ambience and friendly efficient service.
Excellent service
We stay in Poole for a long weekend and we ate in da Vinci’s twice, the food is very good and the service was spot on, top class, we will eat there again, when we visit again in the summer
Wonderful
The welcome and service was warm and inviting. The food amazing! We had starters including the chicken wings, broad beans with Greek yogurt, with delicious warm bread. The mains were outstanding and very generous, lamb cutlets which silenced the group, vegetarian moussaka was delicious! Even a surprise birthday song and ice cream for my birthday. We will be back as it’s a special and friendly independent place as a contrast to the many chain led pubs and restaurants around Poole. Thank you!
Authentic food and great atmosphere
Newly opened, great restaurant. Authentic Italian food and friendly service made for a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended for couples or groups.
Delicious local crab lunch
This is reputedly the oldest pub in Poole Quay, easily spotted by it's green tile facade. Our lunch, in January, was lovely, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients - my crab sandwich was fabulous! We liked it so much, we returned and had a delicious fish dinner in February. The staff were efficient, they and the locals were all friendly towards us. We enjoyed being in a child-free environment as we are retired and on a mini break.

Absolutely lovely! The food was really, really good....we like Thai and found this one of the best we've been to. The staff were really friendly and our 8yr old really enjoyed trying to say some of the Thai phrases from the board. The desserts were very yummy! Would highly recommend this place.

This has been our 5th visit, and the food is always outstanding....partner is trying to work his way through the menu. Staff are amazing, friendly, and the food is wow. It arrives, looks amazing and tastes outstanding.
Highly recommend this pub, the garden out the back looks lovely in the evening all lit up.

Great local pub grub!
Five of us, including grandma, went looking for some good old pub food on Poole Quay. That’s exactly what we found! We had ribs, fish and chips, scampi, and a Bombay bean burger, but we were struggling to choose and will have to go back. Lovely staff, good prices, and quick service.

We have visited this cafe several times. Staff always are friendly and welcoming. Had the hogroast and duck baguettes, both were exceptional. Quick well priced and friendly place with a nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
